Why do we need Pinterest in Education?
Pinterest is a social network, which permits the children, shares their notes on virtual significant space, for example pictures, drawings, yahoo videos, music and food on the web.
Using Pinterest I collected it three educational boards that I find interesting, and helpful to use it in my classroom. I found STEM page that is a truly perfect education idea for 5th grade discipline because it has technology, work, and mathematics. All children should have an opportunity to attempt STEM tasks, Science examinations, and Play Platters. However, teachers have been collecting materials for particular time on diverse trips to dollar supplies, Walmart stores, and even our recycling disposal. The Pinterest homepage has a lot of cheap STEM designs are amazing.
“CHRISTMAS TINKER KIT DIY GIFT FOR KIDS”
I like very much this link in the “STEM on a Budget tinker trays” encounters practices to originate with artistic handouts to email to friends. Meanwhile some children aren’t crafty and need to practice in this Pinterest ideas. In my 5th classroom I will implement the unit of drawings and techniques, so the children learn the “STEM on a Budget tinker trays “who offers resources to produce creations and construct concepts. Meantime “Christmas tinker gift” would build a magnificent initial Christmas present to experience new forms of enjoyment that make you happy in their seasonal time.
“Our Climate Our future”
“ Our Climate Our Future” I will use it to teach my 5th grade children to interact in a video sequence so they will be prepare in the real life story. The children will be playing for about 40-minute. Meanwhile the children can challenge the use of “CHAPTER MENU” to discover the science, influences, and explanations of environment variation at their own step and response inquiries to intensify the children comprehension.

Joining mathematics and drawing events can be a wonderful time for children to connect their mathematics efforts into a crafty science sculpture that could change their life stories. With these three units I will create an atmosphere of knowledge for my 5th grade children and invite their parents to be part of their wonderful future.
Hi Edna:
ReplyDeleteI like the art idea you found on Pinterest, and the best is that you are planning to implement this in a 5th grade class. Including art in the STEM learning system is wonderful in these days when many schools are eradicating it, because of the pressure of the standardized tests. According with the Horizon Report there is a growing learning movement called STEAM (the "A" stands for Art+) which promote the use of technology that fostered the traditional STEM learning system by incorporating humanities and artistic activities.

Edna,
ReplyDeleteI also found the STEM board on Pinterest. You make a great point about boards like this being helpful to educators who may not have enough funding to do all the activities or make all the experimental designs they want to in class. Ideas obtained through Pinterest can definitely help us with novel ideas on how to piece together materials from a variety of sources to make our planned lessons happen.

Edna,
ReplyDeleteI found stem on pinterest and i have to agree that it will facilitate learning in these subjects. Simply because I was able to pin all of the subject matters that i had issues with and learn from them step by step. I think its incredible that this can be done with this type of technology. I did also however, find subjects that can interfere with students learning process. it can be easy for a student to get distracted
